Trilogy Golf Resort at Power Ranch

Filed under: Uncategorized — by ginialucas @ 9:45 pm

Our June ABC Meeting was held at Trilogy Golf Resort. Tiffany Egendorfer,Events Coordinator at Trilogy gave us a guided tour of the beautiful grounds with their 2 wedding sits, lovely patio and warm reception area.
I can see why there are so many weddings at this hidden gem in Gilbert, the meal was delicious!
Firecracker shirmp and bruschetta were passed before our tour, followed by a scrumptious Strawberry pecan salad and Pan Roasted Chicken breast with tequila pineapple sauce with a spanish rice medley.
Patti Daley-Mills from the Transportation Mills answered questions on limos, buses and all types of transportation for special events. The ins and outs and how to avoid the pitfalls that can occur.
Our quick session on Tipping was also a helpful tool that planners can use with confidence.

Pinterest- I spend too much time with you!

Creating memorable events are what we as planners and vendors do every day, and keeping up on color trends and designs and new and unique décor and rental equipment is a must in our industry. Staying up on these trends and utilizing the websites and social media that our clients are using every day is an important part of what makes us the best in our field.

Pinterest is one of my current favorites. Clients can access it right in your office or show you their Pinterest boards while at home or in their offices, and you suddenly can be speaking the same language as they are. It also creates an instant file for you to be able to access all of their moods and gives you a better insight into your client’s innate style and nature as well as giving you a guide to help create that dream wedding for them. You can also create boards that are different themes or styles that you can send your clients to so that you don’t have to email dozens of pictures and reinvent the design every time. Saving time, creating beautiful events and sharing ideas quickly will show your professionalism and devotion to your craft.

Happy Planning!

Focus on Music – May Meeting Notes

Filed under: Uncategorized — by ginialucas @ 7:47 pm

The view from the J & G Steakhouse at the Phoenician was a fabulous setting for our May meeting. Elena Torres, Catering Sales Manager at the J & G Steakhouse treated us to wine and appetizers on the patio before we headed inside for a rabble rousing time with Ray Grace from Ray the DJ as our speaker and game show host. It was great to learn firsthand questions you should ask your DJ’s and how they are an integral part of the planner’s team. Wedding Music trivia got everyone to put their thinking caps on while they were having fun with our contest.

Our interactive discussion on dealing with difficult situations was quite a hit. Almost everyone in the room had a stressful situation they had dealt with and had overcome in a professional manner. Trading stories and their outcomes was a stress reliever itself!
